The places that define Onda and that every visitor should know.

The village of 300 towers, in the heart of Castellón

Onda has around 26,000 inhabitants, lies 25 km from Castellón and about 65 km from Valencia. The old town climbs up to the Castle of the 300 Towers, standing since the 10th century: Arab first, then Jewish and Christian. In the stones and the street names, the three cultures that built it are still there.

A significant share of the tiles laid across Europe come from this area, and it is nothing new. Onda has been at this for centuries: the Museu del Taulell Manolo Safont holds pieces dating back to the 13th century and, to this day, its factories continue to lead the sector.

The Sierra de Espadán Natural Park begins almost where the town ends: 31,000 hectares of cork oaks and ravines climbing up to La Rápita at 1,103 metres.
