Mountain Bike Routes
from Onda

Four official MTB itineraries: from the reservoirs of the coastal plain up into the heart of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park.

Onda makes a great base for mountain bike rides into the Sierra de Espadán and the area around the Sichar reservoir. The four official routes promoted by ondaturismo.es range from 8 to 21 km and mix forest tracks, rural paths, and short stretches of local road. The terrain shifts from flat riding by the water to steep climbs reaching 700–800 m in the hills.

Before you go

The one-way routes (Sichar and Pedrissetes) require planning your return: ride back the same way, leave a second vehicle at the endpoint, or combine with the Onda–Castelló bus. Download the GPS track from ondaturismo.es before you set off.

The forest tracks in the Sierra de Espadán are not signposted for MTB. Carry a map or keep the track active on your device, and let someone know your planned route.
