Onda has three public dog parks spread across different neighbourhoods, so there's almost always one nearby wherever you're staying. All three are free and open access, fully fenced, and fitted with play equipment so dogs can exercise off-leash.
Serratella Dog Park
The most recent of the three, opened in October 2025 after a request from local residents. It has a perimeter safety fence, dedicated play areas, exercise structures and street furniture for the humans tagging along. A mixed fountain, built for both dogs and people, is one of its most useful touches during the hot months.
Dog Park (Zona Oeste)
The second to open, built so residents on the west side of town wouldn't have to cross the whole municipality. It sits behind the Guardia Civil barracks, next to a skatepark, with a single-height fence, ramps and tunnels for dogs to play on, a drinking fountain and benches for whoever's waiting.
Dog Park (Calle Segorbe)
The oldest of the three, open access and open around the clock. It's a simpler space than the other two, without the more elaborate play equipment, but with the advantage of never closing.
Which one should you use?
It depends on which part of Onda you're staying in or walking through:
| Situation | Recommended option |
|---|---|
| Staying in the Serratella neighbourhood | Serratella park: the newest and best equipped |
| West side of town | Zona Oeste: ramps and tunnels, next to the skatepark |
| A walk at any hour, including at night | Calle Segorbe: open 24 hours |
| Want to combine it with the Ceramics Park | The park allows leashed access; it's not a dedicated dog area |
Basic ground rules
As with any dog park, common sense applies: pick up after your dog, keep it on a leash until you're through the fenced gate, and stay alert if several dogs are playing at once to avoid conflicts. All three parks are shared spaces, so how well they work depends on the people using them.
