Your business on GuiaOnda

What the guide already does for you, how to improve your listing and what you can do to show up better on Google.

What the guide already does for your business

If you run a business in Onda, chances are you already have a listing on GuiaOnda. I created it from public data, without asking you for anything and without charging you.

  • Your own listing, with name, address, phone, opening hours and map.
  • Links to your website and social media, if you have them. They are normal links, with nothing that takes value away from them.
  • Data organised so Google can read it. The listing is written so that Google understands your address, opening hours and phone number without having to guess.
  • Presence on Google. The listing is published so that Google can find it, and it already appears in its results.

That doesn't mean you'll come out first. It depends on many things, and I neither sell rankings nor guarantee them. Being in the guide is free and doesn't depend on hiring anything from me.

How to improve your listing

A listing with good photos and text that sounds like your business is easier to read and remember than one with loose facts. This is what you can send me:

  • Photos. Only your own business's photos, or ones taken by someone else who has given you permission to use them. If you didn't take them yourself, tell me who did so I can credit them in the caption. The front of the shop, the interior, the product and the team all work, with good light and no filters or text on top. A phone is fine if the photos are well taken.
  • Text. Tell me what sets you apart, how long you've been open and what customers ask for most. I rewrite it in the guide's tone; I don't copy text from your website or leaflets word for word.
  • Details. Your current opening hours (including holidays and summer), phone, website, social media, WhatsApp, a link to your menu or catalogue if it is online, and any awards you have won.

If anything in your listing is wrong, or you don't want it to appear, you can tell me that too. I'll correct it or remove it, no questions asked.

What you can do to show up better on Google

None of this depends on GuiaOnda, and all of it is free.

  1. 01
Claim your Google Business Profile. It's the first thing people see when they search for your business, with the map and reviews. You can claim it at business.google.com.
  2. 02
Make your details identical everywhere. Name, address and phone written the same way on Google, your website, your social media and any directory. If one place says "Street" and another "St.", or there are two different phone numbers, Google gets doubtful.
  3. 03
Complete your profile. Choose the main category carefully, add opening hours with holidays and upload real photos.
  4. 04
Ask happy customers for reviews and reply to all of them, the bad ones too, politely.
  5. 05
If you have a website, write the phone number as text (not only as an image), keep opening hours and address visible, and use a title that says what you are and where, for example "Bakery in Onda".
  6. 06
If you don't have a website, that's fine. An up-to-date Google profile and a well-kept social media account cover the basics. A website is worth it when you have something to tell that doesn't fit there, like a menu, a shop or bookings.
  7. 07
Put your website on your social media, and link your social media to each other, so Google sees they are the same business.

If you'd rather have a hand

You can do everything above yourself. If you'd prefer someone to help with your website or your Google profile, I work as MKTN: web design and SEO in Onda. It is separate from the guide and has no influence on your listing.
