How the bull runs work and where they go

Onda's bull runs (encierros) cross the streets of the historic quarter with people running alongside on foot. The route is about 750 metres long, closes at 11:00 and children under 16 may not be on it. New safety barriers have been added along the whole route this year.

Releases and fire-horn runs are spread over four spots in the old town: the Raval de Sant Josep, El Pla, La Safona and Porta del Sol. The bou embolat, with fire balls on the horns, is the most characteristic scene of the Fira, and can feel intense the first time you see it.

Tips for visiting

During the street events the centre is closed to traffic, so park on the outskirts and walk in: see the options in the parking guide. The Fira fills the whole area, so book accommodation early at Where to stay in Onda and check where to eat before you go. For more of the programme, concerts and tickets, see the Fira d'Onda 2026 page.
